Honorable Minister of State for FEPT, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, took a briefing on existing “Autism Resource Centre” #ARC in Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Developmental Disorder #RCCDD under Directorate General of Special Education #DGSE on March 13, 2025. Autism Resource Centre Team briefed the Honorable Minister about the existing set up at the centre which was the remnant of a pilot project launched in 2014-15 and that could not be expanded to become a full scale autism resource centre.

??The Honorable Minister directed that a comprehensive project may be developed to upgrade the present Autism Resource Centre at the building of #SpecialEducation in #H8, currently under the use of #PakistanBaitulMal. It was also re-iterated that necessary modification in the said building may also be incorporated in the project which, otherwise, would focus on human resource recruitment and development and inclusion of assistive technologies and modern interventions in line with international best practices coupled with artificial intelligence inclusion. It was also directed that the project must also include one #Autism resource Sub-centre in Federal Government Schools/Colleges at sector level along with capacity building of teachers in Federal Directorate of Education #fde
