Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the radio school and e-taleem portal. The radio school project has been launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. This will enable the resumption of education in remote areas of the country, which was suspended due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Minister for M/o FE&PT Mr. Shafqat Mehmood, Information Minister Senator Shibli Faraz, Parliamentary Secretary for Education Wajiha Akram and other senior officials attended the function.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the whole world is currently suffering due to COVID-19, because of which the educational process has also been affected.

The Prime Minister congratulated to the Ministry of Federal Education and the Ministry of Information for taking significant steps to continue the flow of education which would reduce the negative impact of the epidemic on the education process. The Prime Minister further said that the use of modern technology in this process is welcome. This will help in providing quality education in remote areas. The Prime Minister directed that now we have to pay special attention to the training of teachers in remote areas which will improve the quality of education in these areas.

The Prime Minister said that uniform curriculum is a great achievement and a revolutionary step of the Ministry of Education. It will also provide equal opportunities for education and advancement to the lower classes. The Prime Minister also directed to complete the National Education Policy as soon as possible.

The teleschool initiative will allow ten-hour broadcasts for students. During the briefing, it was informed that "Facebook" is partnering with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in an awareness campaign to promote the e-taleem portal. The purpose of this campaign is to make the public aware of the "e-Education Portal" and the educational materials available on it so that students and parents can benefit from it in every possible way.
